Organizing student information

It is important to find an organized way to keep information about each student. Many teachers choose to assign each student a number (or ‘magic number') to identify them in the classroom. Students use this to label their belongings within the classroom. You can also use the numbers in a binder to organize the information you collect. Don't necessarily give this form as a questionnaire; simply use the sheet to record information as you get to know your students. Or create a computer data base with these fields and enter student information as it becomes available.
