Tool: Forks in the road of a discussion

In the course of a discussion, a teacher is constantly making decisions among alternatives. Use this form to lay beside the Discussion Sketch. Identify points where the teacher could have redirected the discussion and compare the relative merits of the alternatives.

Time

Look for moments in the Sketch when the teacher had opportunities to turn the discussion in other directions.
