Cassandra wonders how to guide parents in helping students with curriculum choices

Cassandra felt relieved that she had successfully distributed the course selection materials to her 8th graders for planning their 9th-grade year. Being new to the school that year, she wasn’t sure she had all the curriculum choices straight in her mind and was worried that she might confuse the students. As she got ready for the bell to ring, Antonio asked what Cassandra realized was a key question, “So what are we supposed to talk about with our parents?” She thought to herself, “Now that would have been a good question to discuss with my mentor last night…”
