Tony wants better communication about student progress
Tony walked away very frustrated from his first night of parent/teacher conferences at Valley High School. He had worked hard all year to get to know the many 9th and 10thgraders who had passed through his Biology class. He had gone into the conferences excited to talk to most of the parents. There were a few parents that he needed to talk to about their children’s progress. After sitting at his table all night talking to the few parents who stopped by to talk, Tony realized that conferences were not going to provide the type of communication that he had hoped. Tony decided to talk to his mentor. He needed to find another way to share what was happening in his classroom and how the students were doing.
