MFT&SRP

Every beginning teacher is a valuable human resource. The Michigan Federation of Teachers & School Related Personnel (MFT&SRP) recognizes induction for beginning teachers as an essential building block of teacher quality. Graduation from a teacher education program cannot be considered the end of professional preparation in the skills and experience necessary to meet the demands and challenges of teaching. Beginning teachers must have further preparation if we want them to succeed. The MFT&SRP encourages beginning and mentor teachers to use the valuable tools and resources provided on the ASSIST site as a means for continual improvement in teaching practice.
